PUBLIC CONSULTATION – Trowbridge, Waterside
Modus would like to invite the public to an open day on Thursday 18th September from 9.30pm till 6pm. The open day will be held at the Trowbridge Library where the local community will be provided with updated information on how Modus is moving the scheme forward and will give the general public a chance to have any questions answered.
The Waterside development will be a major new leisure experience with generous, open, 24 hour access public spaces. It will offer a safe and secure environment for families in a vibrant and attractive setting which will be welcoming to all age groups.
The scheme will include family leisure facilities with a variety of restaurants and bars, as well as an 8 screen multiplex cinema with in excess of 1200 seats. Bowlplex will be taking over 24,000 sq ft of space to create a 20 lane bowling and entertainment centre.
The £90m Waterside development will also include a new relocated Library and a 60 bed hotel. Further to this Modus have confirmed the scheme will include a 400 space car park.
Modus has received outline planning permission for the first phase of the Waterside development in Trowbridge and has submitted a detailed application for the scheme. Waterside is planned to open at the end of 2010.
Waterside is part of the Transforming Trowbridge plans that aim to regenerate the town centre over the next two decades. With unanimous support from the Councils and general public, Modus is proud to be associated with these plans.
